MRHR Collective

This project seeks to address maternal health services delivery across primary health care facilities in Lagos state from the supply and demand perspective of health through Community engagements, Health worker’s training, stakeholders engagement and mhealth (mobile health) messaging for the pregnant women who use these facilities. The project kickstarted with the stakeholder’s meeting on the 2nd of February,2023. This event brought together different stakeholders who influence the public health system especially at the grassroots and community level. Here, we were able to interact and subsequently advocate for respectful, responsive, and equitable maternal and reproductive healthcare access. In the first year of the project, we have conducted a pilot study, baseline data collections, Health worker’s trainings, stakeholders’ engagement, and community outreaches. These will continue throughout the duration of the project and the indicators will be used to assess the effect of the interventions on maternal services in Lagos state.
