We imagine a Nigeria where no woman dies giving life. Since 2007, we’ve worked every day to turn that vision into reality — one mother, one community, one system at a time.
Confronting Nigeria’s Maternal
Health Crisis.
Every year, thousands of women die from preventable causes while giving birth. Together with our partners, we’re working to end this crisis. Will you please donate to save a life today?
We are proposing a pathway that involves the contribution of men and women across Nigeria to solve this problem.
At the heart of our mission is evidence-based action. We conduct in-depth research to identify the root causes of maternal mortality, from gaps in healthcare access to delays in emergency response. Our findings inform national policies, guide community-based interventions, and drive innovations in maternal care. By turning data into solutions, we help ensure safer pregnancies and healthier outcomes for mothers in Nigeria and Africa.
Direct Interventions– MRH’s direct interventions aim to improve maternal and reproductive health in underserved communities. Our approach combines community-based programming, health education, and training of health workers to ensure safe pregnancies, skilled deliveries, and healthy mothers and babies.
We work to reduce maternal mortality in low-income and marginalised communities by promoting access to quality maternal and reproductive healthcare. We raise awareness, influence policy, and drive behaviour change through community engagement, media campaigns, and strategic partnerships. By mobilizing resources and empowering at-risk communities, we help women have safer pregnancies and healthier lives.
